A podcast in Ireland made €190,000 (US $210,000) in profit last year, according to financial reports. Lightning Seeds Ltd is owned by Irish broadcaster Laurita Blewitt, a host of Tommy, Hector and Laurita, an Irish Podcast Awards winning show. The success of the podcast has also benefited co-host Hector Ó hEochagáin’s own media firm, Low Profile Ltd. The show uses advertising, the Acast+ subscription tool, and sells merch.
