City of Tents: Veterans Row is new today from KCRW. The podcast takes listeners back to the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic when a large homeless encampment, decorated with American flags, sprang up beside the Veteran Affairs campus by one of Los Angeles’ wealthiest neighborhoods, Brentwood.

It's all going on at KCRW tomorrow - forty years after Deirdre O'Donoghue debuted her show Bent Music, KCRW invites listeners and fans to tune in to hear that 1/2/82 episode as well as the entire run of the Bent By Nature podcast: the new, rave-reviewed podcast that documents Deirdre's musical life. You can hear Bent By Nature from noon tomorrow on Santa Monica's KCRW on 89.9, and then a rerun of the first show. - read more

Michael Barbaro has apologised for attempting to silence detractors of Caliphate, and blocking people "who raised concerns about a Caliphate producer". He has not addressed other criticisms. The Daily has now been dropped by four public radio stations: KUT in Austin, Houston's KUHF, Marfa Public Radio and Santa Monica's KCRW, who says "concerns we raised … were not fully addressed, such as transparency about potential conflicts of interest in its own coverage of these matters".

Paul Bennun has been appointed Chief Content Officer for Santa Monica's KCRW, he's announced on social media. British, Paul was Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer at UK audio production company Somethin'Else. He's a nice man and we wish him well.

KCRW, the Santa Monica-based radio station and podcaster, has a new $38m building. Meanwhile, in Boston MA, USA, the Boston Globe is hopeful that the money flowing into podcasting will benefit podcasters in the city.
