Andrew Golis has decided to leave New York Public Radio as Chief Content Officer. His last day will be next Friday at the company, which owns WNYC Studios.

Lillian Xu is joining Vox Media as the Executive Director of the audio business. She joins from New York Public Radio. We're also told she plays pickleball, which we fondly imagined was a game played with actual pickles, probably in a bar at the end of a long night. It turns out not to be.

Every Voice with Terrance McKnight is new today from New York Public Radio's WQXR. Hosted by Terrance McKnight, it spotlights marginalized voices in Western classical music. Launching during Black History Month, the debut season explores Black representation in opera. Expect interviews with performers and educators, historical documents, archival performance recordings, and McKnight's signature style of personal storytelling.

A union has filed an unfair labour practice claim against WNYC's owner New York Public Radio, alleging that the company is using surveillance, ignoring employment contracts, and engaging in threatening behaviour.

Bob Garfield has been fired by New York Public Radio for apparently violating their anti-bullying policy. The co-host of On The Media, Garfield claims he was fired for "yelling in 5 meetings over 20 years". He is taking legal advice.
