The bankruptcy proceedings of Kast Media rumble on, with at least eighteen objections to the bankruptcy plan. The objections were filed by Arcadian Vanguard LLC, the company behind Jim Cornette’s podcasts.

Court action between the National Association of the Deaf and SiriusXM rumbles on. The case is about the lack of podcast transcripts in SiriusXM’s app. A transcript has been made of a recent court conference: but, we’ve 90 days to wait until that transcript about the unavailable transcripts becomes, um, an available transcript.

Open Source with Christopher Lydon was the podcast that started it all - and this week, celebrates the twentieth anniversary of the show, and of podcasting, with podcaster Erica Heilman. Lydon says: "People speak of podcasting as radio on the internet, but it’s really something else. It can feel like 'pen-pal'ing with strangers, except that the human voice goes far and wide to the world. And Erica’s podcast Rumble Strip shows just how deep it can go."

Let's get ready to Rumble; the online video platform is getting into podcasting with the acquisition of Callin, a social podcasting and live streaming platform. No terms were disclosed. Rumble hosts Donald Trump's Truth Social network, and the video platform is popular among American right and far-right users. Its competitor YouTube added podcasts last month.

Donald Trump Jr, the eldest child of a former US president, has signed a seven-figure deal to make an exclusive "podcast" on Rumble, a video service. The show will be live, and not available through an RSS feed.

Hub & Spoke's Rumble Strip has been nominated for a Peabody Award. Also nominated are PRX's S***hole Country (in Radiotopia Presents), and Mississippi Goddam: The Ballad of Billey Joe (in Reveal). The full list of Peabody nominees also includes podcasts from WNYC, WHYY, Serial Productions, BBC News, NBC News, Crooked Media and NPR - and Hulu's affectionate-but-not-very-helpful take on podcasting, Only Murders in the Building.

Right-leaning video service Rumble has offered Rogan $100m to move his show to the platform. A video has also emerged of Rogan joking about sexual assault.

Radio presenter and podcaster Dan Bongino is leaving YouTube. He claims censorship, and is moving to Rumble (which he's also an investor in).

All Active Asset Capital has withdrawn its offer to buy Audioboom. It had requested a further extension to its deadline; Audioboom declined. The investment company's statement grumbles about corporate governance, and hints that they might be back.

The issues around the New York Times' Caliphate podcast continue to rumble on; more than twenty public radio stations have condemned the newspaper and host Michael Barbaro for their reporting. It should be noted that NPR, like the Washington Post which broke this story, are competitors to the NYT.
