Didier Sibellas has joined Wondercraft as Head of Design. Wondercraft calls itself “Canva for Audio”; Sibellas worked at Canva for eight years, and was Canva’s first full-time Product Designer and Head of Digital Design.

Could your podcast grow faster if it’s dubbed into different languages? We played with Wondercraft AI all this week. Wondercraft AI has a feature called “dubs” - you upload your audio of you reading something and it will dub it into another language - using your voice. Here is our daily podcast in French, in Japanese, in Danish, in Dutch, and in Arabic (including a clip of a guest, too). If you speak any of those languages, we’d be curious to hear your comments.

Audio production tool Wondercraft has announced a new feature, “parrot mode”, which enables users to tell AI voices exactly how to deliver lines. (We’ve a video of the tool in the press release). The selected AI voice will precisely mimic the user’s desired tone, pace and intonation.

Hit true crime show One Minute Remaining is to be made available to Spanish speakers. The Acast show is using Wondercraft to introduce the show to Spanish speakers globally. Uno Minuto Restante is now available in all major podcast apps.

AI-powered audio service Wondercraft has raised $3m in funding. “The technology enables anyone to create studio-quality audio productions in any language, by simply typing.” Included in the investors is Steven Bartlett, the host of Diary of a CEO. The former COO of Acast, Oskar Serrander, is a co-founder. Hacker News Recap is an example AI-generated podcast from the company.

Announced on the same day as Spotify's AI translations, Wondercraft AI also launched an AI dubbing tool. Unlike Spotify's pilot, the Wondercraft tool is available to all podcasts in thirteen different languages. Here's our own daily podcast, dubbed into Spanish.
