  • Columbia Journalism Review reports on NPR’s RAD podcast consumption analytics specification, claiming that it raises privacy issues.

  • NPR’s RAD Tag Editor, promised last week, is now live. The Hindenburg editor also allows you to set RAD tags.

  • CastPlus is closing its podcast sales business. Uriel Zecharia, the company’s CEO and co-founder, tells Podnews that the company is closing since it did not reach profitability.

  • Podcasting is media’s slow food movement, says RadioPublic’s Jake Shapiro in a prediction piece for 2019.

  • Communicorp UK, a radio broadcaster, has launched its own internal employee podcast. “Communicast is available to all of Communicorp UK’s 160 employees, who are based around the country, and will contain in-house created material to inspire staff”.

  • Podtrac have released their “top (US) podcasts of November 2018”. Serial has slipped to #2; The Daily returns to #1 (where it was in August).
