  • Echo - a new app where you can see what podcasts your friends use. Not a podcast player. iOS only. Has an API planned which might give data for podcasters.

  • A new studio, QED Studios, opens in Astoria, NY, specifically marketed for podcasters. (Not from NYC? Astoria is here). $30 per hour, plus $20 if you want a technician.

  • HotPod is published, issue 131. Covers fundraising, investment, and an interesting story about ad-free podcasts in the UK (thanks to the BBC) slowing the advertising industry.

  • Another day, another service to make audio files into video files. This time, it’s Anchor, the app that appears to either be rapidly expanding or has a damn good PR team.
