Revenue up 34% for Audioboom

• Audioboom released its Q3/24 trading update. The company saw revenue up 34% y-on-y to $18.8mn; and a record eCPM (revenue per thousand downloads) to $66.06, up 79% from last year (and up 9.9% from last quarter). The company made $1mn EBITDA profit.

• Listeners are more connected to a brand when it has a sound identity, according a new report from Veritonic. More than half of all podcast listeners say that a brand’s sound is more memorable than its visual logo, too.

• Spotify has launched audiobooks in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

• Jessica Radburn has been hired as Head of Audio on Demand at the ABC in Australia. She joins from Wondery and Audible; she’ll report to Ben Latimer.

• Four-time Super Bowl Champion Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski has joined sports entertainment studio Nuthouse Sports as partner, teaming up with Super Bowl LIII MVP Julian Edelman and Superdigital Founder Assaf Swissa. The studio launches Dudes on Dudes today, featuring Gronk and Jules.
