The BBC announce they’re making all their podcasts -18 LUFS - LKFS if you speak American. (If you’re keeping tabs: Google wants -16 LUFS, Amazon want -14 LUFS (as do Spotify), YouTube normalise to -13 LUFS, and the AES want anywhere between -16 and -20 LUFS. I try hard to keep personal opinion out of podnews, so won’t pass comment as to how crazy this situation is.

Talking of the BBC, they have a new programme - broadcast on BBC Radio 4 Extra and available as a podcast - called Podcast Radio Hour. Presented by Amanda Litherland, “presenters recommend their favourite podcasts, and speak to the people that make them”. Episode 1: Deborah Frances-White.

Apple are hiring! The job is opaquely called Digital Supply Chain, Technical Producer and the description says: “The Apple Podcast and Siri Audio News team seeks a Content Producer to be responsible for the health of the podcast and audio news catalogs and act as our front-line point of provider support”. You’d be working in the Santa Clara Valley in California, USA for exactly “40.00” hours a week.
