The winners of the British Podcast Awards 2020 were announced over the weekend, in a gitzy, star-studded live ceremony. You can hear a selection of winners on this Spotify playlist, and you can hear the awards again tomorrow on BBC Radio 4 Extra. The winner of the Podcast of the Year was Brown Girls Do It Too from the BBC Asian Network; the Listeners’ Choice award went to Sh**ged Married Annoyed from Rosie and Chris Ramsey.

Good news for Libsyn, which has published its financial results for Q1 2020: in total, the company’s podcasting arm saw revenue increase by 13%. Year-on-year, standard hosting revenue increased by 17%, though LibsynPro shrank by 4%, and ad revenue, partially affected by the onset of the pandemic, decreased by 28%. (Libsyn runs Pair, an internet hosting company).
