This Week In Tech, the first show from Leo Laporte’s
netcastpodcast network, celebrates its 15th anniversary on Sunday with a special episode featuring the original team of Leo Laporte, Kevin Rose, Patrick Norton and Robert Heron. The network now has twenty tech podcasts, over 16,200 episodes, and a monthly audience of four million; it has twenty staff, including four full-time hosts. Congratulations, Leo. -
Honouring the best of the European internet, The 10th Annual Lovie Awards includes eleven new podcast categories this year. New judges include a number of prominent podcasters: the early entry deadline is next Friday, Apr 24. You can enter now. (We’re a media partner).

Acast has partnered with DIVE Studios, a K-pop podcast network. Korea is the biggest country in the world for podcast consumption, according to Reuters Institute data. DIVE Studios is based in Seoul and Los Angeles.

For every review, Podchaser is paying 25 cents to Meals on Wheels America. It’s extended its reviews4good program until the end of April. Libsyn and Captivate are also matching all donations for podcasts on their platform, and if a podcast replies to the review, that doubles the money. (Our Editor is on Captivate’s advisory board. Broadway Podcast Network is seeing downloads increase by 30%. “The jump is really across the board,” commented its founder, Dori Berinstein. “Every podcast is seeing greater traffic,” she said, adding that “one of our new podcasts, Ramin Karimloo’s The Hang, is so popular it crashed the site this week.”
