Mark Cuban and Falon Fatemi are co-founding a “next-gen podcast platform” where hosts can talk to fans live and monetise their conversations, reports The Verge - it’s said to be similar to Clubhouse but with the ability to record conversations. Cuban sold internet radio company broadcast·com to Yahoo for $5.7bn.
- The app is reportedly to be called Fireside, which comes as news to the five year-old podcast host Fireside. “Surprising and more than a bit concerning,” says Fireside’s Dan Benjamin.

In Norway, podcast company Acast report a 266% increase in revenue last year, and a 39% increase in new advertisers. Plan-B, a Norwegian content creator which produces some of Norway’s biggest podcasts, has signed with the company.
