The FCC, the US communications regulator, has launched its own podcast: More Than Seven Dirty Words. Self-hosted, it does not appear to be on any podcast apps yet (that comes soon, says the government agency).

Audio indexing company Audioburst has announced a collaboration with Radioline, a global radio tuner app.

The Vancouver Podcast Festival will be held November 8-10, and “features three days of panels, hands-on workshops, and live podcast presentations and tapings”.

IBC, the large broadcasting show held annually in Amsterdam, will have a session devoted to The Power of the Podcast, with guests including Lisa Tobin from the New York Times, and Eduardo Martinez from Stream Guys.

The BBC has reached agreement with Spotify to carry their podcasts. The UK public service broadcaster does (I estimated) 50m podcasts a month, probably making them a top five podcaster in the world.

As of press time, Kim Kardashian had over 3,300 replies telling her some good podcasts to listen to, after the “television personality, socialite, actress, businesswoman, model” posted a tweet asking for some. We sure hope she has the iPhone with 256GB.
