UK digital radio station Fun Kids launches Story Quest, story podcasts for kids aged 7+. They’re starting with Bryony Brownwell’s Mystery Project. On iTunes etc.

Steve Wilson, who looks after marketing at Apple Podcasts, notes “friends don’t let friends host their podcasts on SoundCloud” in a tweet, and recommends SimpleCast instead. He wants podcasters to use a podcast host that’s designed to be a podcast host.

A new podcast app for iOS, Procast is now available. Features include 'cuts’, to share portions of podcasts with friends; and swipable podcasts in an inbox. It’s free and has no ads.

iHeartRadio announces that their Australian app now includes “Australia’s largest podcast library”, with 1.4m episodes from 12,000 global podcasters.

US radio content provider Westwood One, who provide Olympics coverage to radio stations in the States, are also broadcasting live via the Amazon Alexa. Their skill appears to be geo-locked to the US.
