Google Podcasts Creator Program announces teams

• Google Podcasts has announced the twenty teams selected for the 2020-21 Google Podcasts creator program. Working with PRX, eleven countries and six languages are represented.

• Spotify has launched Spotify Pumped, where hosts of Spotify’s biggest podcasts, like Dani Dyer from Sorted With The Dyers, take you through an HIIT workout of your very own. It’s launched in the UK and Ireland (though seems to work in other places too). A clever idea to promote their podcasts and music choices.

• Wondery is ドラマ型ポッドキャストで人気を集めているアメリカ第３位のポッドキャストネットワークで、- and, today, working with Nippon Broadcasting System, they launched Business Wars in Japanese - telling the story of PlayStation vs Nintendo.

• Lots of things broke for Apple earlier this week. While Apple Podcasts isn’t important enough to appear on their system status page, the Podcasts Connect system was down for a while, and at least one podcast was knocked off for a bit. But we’re back now.

• Podfront Virtual is next week, with presentations from a number of large podcast networks.
