  • The Guardian’s Football Weekly podcast is losing its host, James Richardson, and “producer Ben”. They jump to The Totally Football Show, a new podcast from a new company called Muddy Knees Media, of which they are shareholders. While the podcast will continue without them at The Guardian, this is a big deal - at Radiodays Europe’s Podcast Day, The Guardian talked about a total of 5.4m downloads a month across their network to an audience of 73% male listeners, and Football Weekly appeared to be their largest podcast by far. The Guardian lost £45m last year, but those losses were a third better than the previous year. It also shed 300 jobs.
