The IAB has announced the final agenda for the IAB Podcast Upfront. The invite-only event takes place Sep 9-10, and allows media buyers to preview new shows coming from podcast publishers and new adtech tools.

Spotify has expanded “Music and Talk” shows to fifteen more countries, including Germany the Philippines and Brazil. The service also has a new look. Here are a few examples, which mix music and talk (exclusive to the Spotify platform): Brad Hill’s Take Cover, which in this episode plays a set of cover versions of Billie Jean; and Tom Webster’s Deep Six, playing six songs that have flutes in them.

Fountain, a podcast app on iOS and Android, has released v0.2.4 which enables “Boostagrams”, a way to send a cryptocurrency tip with a message to podcasters. It also includes audio fixes for Android users.
