Lemonada to make pop culture podcast with the BBC

At The Podcast Show, The BBC announced a partnership with Lemonada Media to create a new pop culture podcast. The Corporation is also to sponsor the Fellowship programme at Multitrack, an audio DEI organisation.

Libsyn Studio, the company’s online recording tool, has suddenly closed. An email to customers said it was a “difficult decision”. No alternative tool was offered; we’d recommend Podcastle, and other alternatives include Alitu, Riverside and Descript.
- Libsyn acquired Auxbus in Feb 2021; rebranded it as Libsyn Studio in Feb 2022 as part of a new free podcast host; closed the free podcast host in Nov 2022; and integrated Libsyn Studio into its platform in Dec 2022.
- The closure comes after Spotify for Podcasters closes similar tools this month.
