More podcast speakers for Next Radio; HowStuffWorks signs with Whooshkaa

Next Radio, the ideas conference, have announced a new set of speakers including Sharon Taylor from Omny Studio talking about podcast monetisation and Susie Warhurst from Acast discussing branded podcasts. The conference is in central London on Sept 17, and also features Cariad Lloyd (Griefcast), and Suchandrika Chakrabarti (Black Mirror Cracked). (The Editor of Podnews is one of the organisers).

HowStuffWorks has signed a deal with Whooshkaa for advertising representation in Australia and the Pacific.

Austrian sellers of bright red caffeinated soft drinks Red Bull has produced a new podcast, Nightclubbing, focused on the history of nightclubs.

AudioCraft, a conference in Sydney, is putting a session from June’s conference into the AudioCraft Podcast every day. The first: Think Big with Audible. Master storytellers Jesse Baker and Collin Campbell show how they make, break, bend and completely redefine the rules of storytelling to pull off a gripping narrative podcast series.

Streaming company StreamGuys are planning to show automated podcast transcription and captioning at the IBC 2018 show in Amsterdam in September.
