The New York Times is to release its first documentary podcast series, Caliphate. It launched with a fancy microsite over the weekend; Niemenlab reports that they will experiment with giving NYT subscribers early access.

Marvel and Stitcher release Wolverine: The Long Night. It’s exclusive to Stitcher Premium for now; it gets a general release later this year. It gets a glowing review from The Wrap, is called a bold experiment by Vulture, and Minnesota Public Radio highlights the author, Benjamin Percy.
