Pandora 'doubling down' on podcasts

Pandora is “doubling down on podcasts”, according to an interview with their CEO. “Pandora is currently developing what it calls the “Podcast Genome Project,” a massive database not unlike its Music Genome Project that would study and compile the attributes for every podcast in Pandora’s library.”

• The Sydney Daily Telegraph has launched a true crime podcast. Eight Minutes - Who Killed David Breckenridge?, Whooshkaa-hosted, is up to episode three.

• The Australian ABC is launching a set of new comedy podcasts as part of a multiplatform comedy launch. Enjoy Santo, Sam and Ed’s Total Football Podcast, Troll Play, and a new season of Burn your passport.
