Is anyone reading your Patreon posts?

• Are you posting things on Patreon to your supporters? Sean Howard says that only 0.76% of his supporters are reading any of the bonus content they’re posting. Patreon have said the figures don’t include mobile traffic - but don’t appear to have clarified how much more traffic that would be.

• The British Podcast Awards and Wellcome have announced the eleven successful recipients of the Pulse Award, sharing £50,000 of funding for podcasts that drive conversations around public health.

• Stitcher looks back at their 2019, with a list of best-ofs and data about the service. There were significantly more searches for “true crime” than “comedy”, according to the numbers.

• Country Music RADIO, a streaming radio app, has just added a podcast player with 20 popular country music podcasts to their iOS app. The radio app has 275+ country music radio stations and has achieved over a million downloads.

• Engadget looks back at Spotify’s podcast power play, with a full interview with Courtney Holt.
