  • Clubhouse is male and under 35, says Signal Hill Insights in the first piece of research in its users that we’ve seen. However, fewer than 20% of Canadian adults have even heard of it (far less using it); and even the people who use it don’t think it’s going to be a big success.

  • Want to speak at Podcast Movement in Nashville? They’re looking for speaker submissions (you’ll be physically in Nashville).

  • Tortoise Media, the “slow media news platform” in the UK, has signed with Acast for podcast distribution and monetisation. They were using Transistor.

  • Will Packer has signed with iHeartMedia to produce podcasts for the company.

  • Podcastpage has added filters to their website tools, and has also added Plausible Analytics integration (an alternative to Google Analytics).

  • GabbleCast appears to be a new podcast host. It seems to be free for now; it’s based in Hyderabad in India.

  • Chrome browser extension Listen Notes for Chrome says it suggests podcasts to listen to from the website you’re looking at. It works from Vox or the New York Times or even Google; not on our website, though.
