  • The Los Angeles Review of Books is now reviewing something else in a new website: Podcast Review. The website both reviews podcasts and interviews those who make them. You can submit yours for review.

  • A Lifehacker journalist writes how to make a podcast on your phone, using Anchor’s newly redesigned app.

  • The Academy of Podcasters Hall of Fame is looking for 2018 nominations. The criteria and details are on the entry form, and yes, you can nominate yourself. Or, better, someone else.

  • On Friday I noted the return of iHeartMedia to podtrac’s charts after I discovered their stats were wrong; Podtrac tell me that they normally report the podcast list a week after the publisher list.

  • Useful training, courtesy of the BBC: “the art of the interview” from the Corporation’s internal College of Production.

  • Radiotopia is planning an East Coast Tour in May bringing some of your favourite podcasts to a city near you. (Assuming your favourite podcasts are those made by Radiotopia, and you live on the East Coast, of course).

  • Studiolink is a replacement for Skype that’s been built with podcasting in mind. It’s also a plugin for popular audio editor Reaper. And it’s free. Here’s a little writeup about it from a fan.

  • A podcast we listened to over the weekend: Make No Law: The First Amendment Podcast, part of the Legal Talk Network. It’s a good example of niche podcasting that probably wouldn’t work on the radio.
