Podcasting reaches Gen Z like no other

Listen · · Updated · 2.4 minutes to read
  • For brands, podcasts are “a great place to reach people that they couldn’t reach before” - Earlier today at Audiodays in Copenhagen, Denmark, Amplifi Media’s Steven Goldstein shared data to highlight why podcasts are a real opportunity to reach younger audiences, or “Gen Z”.

  • Good news from Good Tape: episode two of the magazine has been printed and will begin mailings this weekend. You can still buy The Celebrity Issue here, which investigates a range of questions around the concept of celebrity and the ways in which it’s shifted and warped audio over the years.

  • USA Today writes a negative piece about the effect of appearances by Trump and Harris on podcasts - which have only “reached less than 30% of all voters”. 28% have “seen” Harris on a podcast, and 22.5% for Trump, according to the newspaper - which, including print and digital subscribers, reaches just 0.6% of all Americans.
