The electric Porsche Taycan now comes with Apple Podcasts. It’s the first “full integration” of Apple Podcasts in any vehicle; the Porsche voice assistant will allow you to ask for “popular podcast episodes or shows”, and it also includes the Top Charts for navigation. Listening is synched with other Apple devices. We’re eagerly awaiting our review unit.

Podcorn, a self-service marketplace connecting podcasters with advertisers for native sponsorships, is announcing new partnership deals with podcast hosts Buzzsprout, Podomatic, RSS, Captivate and Omny Studio. Podcorn claims to have done thousands of campaigns with tens of thousands of podcast creators.

MIDiA has posted a survey claiming that Spotify is now the most widely used podcast platform. It says that 42% of podcast listeners use Spotify, with Apple at 32%, and Google Podcasts at an un-disclosed third place; and that 14% are weekly podcast users. The data covers the US, Canada, Australia, UK, Germany and France, weighted to country population size.

Want to do a “Spotify Show With Music” but not use Anchor? You can, actually - as a playlist. This playlist uses Spreaker for the talk, and Spotify for the music. It still is only playable in Spotify, though.

Sounder has partnered with Triton Digital to allow any podcast to earn revenue with dynamically-inserted advertising. This adds to their partnership with DAX for larger publishers.

Spotify has signed with Scooter Braun, a US media owner, to produce Country Shine with Graham Bunn, a country music broadcaster. The show appears to be an exclusive.

A podcast studio is coming to the Southern Illinois University, in Edwardsville IL, USA. Students and Illinois Small Business Development Center members will be able to use it for “a low cost”.

NPR has subscribed to Nielsen’s Podcast Buying Power Service. “NPR will have access to podcast insights spanning 18 genres that can be cross-referenced against a massive category of consumer purchase behavior patterns and services usage.”
