Podtrac released their top podcast rankings the other day - US-only. Of interest: NPR’s Up First at #6, the NYT’s Daily at #10. NPR’s promotion heft is clearly paying off. S-Town has slipped to 18, but is still there - the power of the archive.

Next Radio, the UK-based conference, confirmed more speakers yesterday, including Megan Lazovick from Edison Research and Alex Adey from AudioBoom. Alex will be talking about the rise of unofficial, fan-based podcasting; Megan will cover Edison Research’s podcast consumer research. Also speaking, Valerie Geller who is currently working on an LA-based podcast, and Liz Jaynes from BBC Radio, talking about artwork’s ability to generate clicks.
