Aimed to combat politics and media that provide the world “with little more than caricature and sensationalism”. (Interesting production technique to just drop you into the discussion between the hosts, rather than a formal “hello, welcome!”.)

Fun today in podnews’s first reader get-together, in Melbourne, Australia. One participant said “it’s weird, there are more podcast networks in Australia than radio broadcasters” - an interesting point, given at least four podcast networks got together to talk and drink a quite pleasant session IPA. Total bar bill was only $88, thanks to others graciously picking up part of the bill.
