Spotify is already beating Apple in many countries

Spotify is now more popular than Apple for podcast listening in many countries, according to new data from Voxnest. In particular, Spotify beats Apple across almost all of Central and South America. The podcast consumption data is based on February’s downloads of podcasts powered by Voxnest including a number of third-party platforms, and reflects Android’s success in many of these markets.

Scripps, who own Triton Digital and Stitcher, have seen revenue grow by 41% in Q4 2018, according to new results from the company. Revenue for Stitcher, which includes Midroll, was up 64% to $16.7 million.
