Thrumm - a music library for podcasters launches
-
Expect something new from Apple Podcasts, this morning at 10am Pacific Time. We’ll have all the news tomorrow.
-
A new music library is launching at Podcast Movement for podcasters and documentary makers. Thrumm is from Lindsay Graham (no, not that one), specifically produced in complementary keys and tempos to allow you to transition neatly between tracks to tell your story. Thrumm is at booth 512 at Podcast Movement from tomorrow - we’re using some of the library today in our podcast. (Booth #512)

“For over a year, we didn’t get paid.” Rabia and Ellyn Solve The Case has posted an episode on Patreon detailing their experience of Podcast One, who is said to have offered 16% of what was owed by Kast Media in return for a two year contract - but cancelled the contract after Podcast One’s internal data apparently showed significantly lower download figures. The show will now be an exclusive on Patreon and Apple Podcasts paid subscription.

Kast Media’s bankruptcy proceedings, first filed in March, are still continuing. Recently, Kast objected to Arcadian’s conduct (Arcadian, the publisher of Jim Cornette’s show, is owned $250,000), and Arcadian has complained that they’ve not been given correct addresses of some witnesses by Kast. A hearing to accept or reject Kast’s Chapter 11 reorganisation plan is scheduled for October 1, with Sep 6 being the last date for filing objections. PodcastOne employees are being served notice to appear as witnesses. (If you’ve wondered some of the things we spend your monthly support on, it’s buying court documents like this).
