Wireless Studios launches

Wireless Group, owned by News Corp, has launched Wireless Studios and hired podcast veteran Matt Hall. The press release also includes some new UK research from Edison Research and Mindshare. Rupert Murdoch’s NewsCorp owns a set of national UK radio stations, newspapers, and publisher HarperCollins; and Wireless Group will shortly move to new offices with The Sun and The Times.

Audioboom is beginning to sort out its payments to publishers, according to this tweet from the host of Crime in Sports and Small Town Murder. (These podcasts are now hosted with Podcast One).

• Dead Rock Stars (from 7digital) is a celebration of the lives of many musicians who are, sadly, no longer with us. “The first episode is about Lemmy, and is fantastic”, producer Ian Callaghan tells us.

New seasons: Panoply’s Malcom Gladwell’s Revisionist History starts Season 3. Radiotopia’s Love + Radio is back for Season 7.
