- May 27: Edison Podcast Metrics UK published the top 25 podcasts in the UK for Q1/26. The BBC saw a record high for two of its shows.
- May 25: The biggest shows are getting even bigger, according to new research from Edison Podcast Metrics UK, presented at The Podcast Show London. In 2023, to reach 50% of all podcast listeners, you would need to advertise on the top 43 shows. But two years later, you only need the top 27 shows to reach half of all podcast listeners. The data was part of a preview of the upcoming UK Podcast Consumer 2026, to be released later this summer; the US version will be unveiled next week in a free webinar.
- Apr 23: Edison Podcast Metrics released 2025's top US kids podcasts. Lemonada Media has three shows in the top ten.
- Apr 20: Edison Research at SSRS published the top 50 podcasts in the US for Q1/26. What effect has Netflix had on this chart? The Breakfast Club rose from 15 to 11; it's the clear leader on Netflix. The Bill Simmons podcast - removed in full from YouTube in favour of Netflix - has also risen from 49 to 42. The highest new entry is The Ramsey Show. Edison Podcast Metrics asks about podcasts, not about platforms - so will include shows wherever people consume them.
