- Dec 9: The 2026 nominees for the Golden Globes Best Podcast were announced - the first time podcasts have been recognised. The nominees are: Armchair Expert (Wondery), Call Her Daddy (SiriusXM), Good Hang (Spotify), SmartLess (SiriusXM), The Mel Robbins Podcast (SiriusXM), and Up First (NPR). The podcast nomination announcement was made in the portion that wasn’t televised. The awards show is on Jan 11.
- Nov 25: The Ashley Flowers company Audiochuck is being sued for $20mn by the hosts of Anatomy of Murder, alleging breach of contract. The podcast says it saw a significant decrease in revenue after Audiochuck signed with SiriusXM.
- Nov 24: Podswag, a company now owned by SiriusXM, gets coverage in a licensing website.
- Nov 6: Netflix is apparently talking to SiriusXM about taking some of its video podcasts. As with other deals, it would remove the shows from YouTube.
