- Oct 31: Audiochuck has signed with Red Seat Ventures for ad sales representation for Audiochuck’s podcasts. The podcasts were with SiriusXM. The deal with the Crime Junkie publisher, apparently worth $150mn, also includes a FAST channel on video streaming platforms FOX One and Tubi. Both Tubi and Red Seat Ventures are owned by FOX.
- Oct 21: Interestingly, only one show appears in both ORBIT and the Edison Top 50 US podcasts: SiriusXM’s Megyn Kelly Show.
- Oct 16: Rena Ayer has been hired as Senior VP of Content & Talent Partnerships at Red Seat Ventures. She joins from SiriusXM and Audible.
- Oct 8: Alex Cooper was one of those present at SiriusXM Media’s “Built with Audio” advertising showcase in New York yesterday. “I am a CEO and I’m a podcaster”, she said, “but all of that wouldn’t be successful if I wasn’t a marketer. Every single day I’m thinking about, ‘How can I push my product?’, ‘How can I push my podcast?’, ‘How can I push my movies, television shows, consumer products?’. At the core of it all, none of it would be as successful if I wasn’t thinking with my marketing cap at all times.”
- Oct 3: Spotify announced integration with Amazon DSP, Yahoo DSP and ID5. SiriusXM also announced Amazon DSP integration last month.
