Press Release · Paris, France · via Acast ·

M Publicité - the advertising agency of Le Monde Group - has chosen Acast, the world’s largest independent podcast company, as its monetization partner for podcasting.

Le Monde Group continues to diversify its media formats, strengthening its presence in audiovisual production. Its commitment to editorial innovation is delivering results: in 2025, Le Monde’s three podcasts drew a combined audience of 13.8 million listeners. L’Heure du Monde remains the top-performing native news podcast in France, with 12.5 million listens since January.

Elisabeth Cialdella, Managing Director of M Publicité, Le Monde Group’s advertising agency, said: “The Group’s podcast audience, with new listening records achieved this year, puts us in a strong position. 2024 was a first step with the launch of the monetization of our portfolio. 2025 marks a second step: the acceleration and structuring of this mission. The alliance with Acast will serve this ambition. Our priority is to consolidate the advertising momentum we are experiencing and strengthen the value of our editorial offering to brands. This strategy will focus in particular on format continuity and synergies between audio and video.”

Acast has been active in France for seven years and already has an extensive catalog of publishers, influencers, and independent creators, including HugoDécrypte, Métamorphose and Sophie-Marie Larrouy. For M Publicité, the collaboration is part of a bold audiovisual strategy that seeks to engage audiences in new ways and strengthen partnerships with brands.

Yann Thébault, Managing Director of Acast France & Germany, commented: “We are incredibly pleased that M Publicité has placed its trust in Acast and is contributing to the development of the French market. With an already rich catalog of creators, independents, and major media outlets, we are pleased to welcome Le Monde and its editorial strength, which will further enrich this thriving creator ecosystem.”
