    Spotify launched 1619: The Podcast Edition - the result of a Spotify-funded NextGen podcast course with Howard University and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Nikole Hannah-Jones, Knight Chair in Race and Journalism. The student-produced podcast makes compelling connections to the ways that slavery still impacts their lives and ours. A listening party was held earlier this week.

Finally for now, The Cold Slice, another podcast that correctly adds the word “podcast” when it isn’t in a podcast app, bought a billboard to promote their show. Their Reddit post says that they spent $300 and got 80 listeners (“some of whom stuck it out and still listen”). Dylan was told by someone in the subreddit to send us a picture.
